You rush through the halls as the warning bell rings, trying your best to make it to class when a dreadful obstacle blocks your way— a couple making out in the middle of the hallway.
PDAs, or Public Displays of Affection, are common in our society. From bustling malls to grassy parks, you can find PDA anywhere. However, in each of these places, there is a line that must not be crossed for PDA. The same is true for school.
Dear couples, please limit the PDA in school. No one wants to see it. While it’s normal to want to show your love to that special someone, maybe don’t have a full-out makeout session at school.
It’s even worse because every time I’ve seen a couple making out in the hallway, it’s smack where all the foot traffic is. At least head over to the side. Be courteous.
Besides, it’s also just plain weird. I’ve seen people bite each other at school. Didn’t we learn in kindergarten not to bite people?
There’s nothing romantic about chemistry, so why are you acting like it is? Have you no shame? Have you no sense of decency? I see no reason to be all over someone in class. Or in the hallway. Or the courtyard.
Anything more than a small kiss or a hug is simply too much for in-school PDA. Respectfully, there is a time and place for everything. School is not the time or place to make out with someone.
