Taylor Swift is soon releasing her new album “Midnights” on Oct 21. However, it doesn’t look like this is all Swift is working on at the moment. As her fans may know she is notorious for teasing different things for different albums.

For this album, Swift decided to give out the tracklist in separate pieces. She started a small series on TikTok and Instagram called “Midnight’s Mayhem With Me.” In this series, she revealed a new track in each episode.

In addition to starting “Midnight’s Mayhem With Me,” Swift also released three short video clips on Instagram explaining only track one,  “Lavender Haze,” Track 3, “Anti-Hero,” and Track 4 “Snow On The Beach” (featuring Lana Del Rey).

She describes the song “Lavender Haze” as being about the act of ignoring rumors and tabloids to protect the real love going on behind everything social media portrays. Swift also talks about how “lavender haze” was a common phrase used in the fifties to describe being in love.

“If you are in the ‘lavender haze’ then that meant that you were in that all-encompassing love glow” Swift states in the video.

Swift reveals that track three, “Anti-Hero,” is one of her favorite songs she has ever written. She says she likes the song a lot because she thinks it is really honest.

“I really don’t think I have dealt this far into my insecurities in this detail before,” Swift says.

She further describes the song as being a guided tour through all the things she tends to hate about herself. Apparently, the song addresses all of those aspects of the things we like and dislike about ourselves that we have to come to terms with if we have to be this person.

The fans are breaking over Track 4 “Snow On The Beach” (featuring Lana Del Rey). It is no secret that Del Rey’s fan base has been “feening” for a collab between the two artists for a while. Now that fans are getting one, many are ecstatic. However, fans are not the only ones exhilarated. Swift makes it clear that recording with Del Rey means a lot to her.

“Lana Del Rey, in my opinion, is one of the best musical artists ever,” Swift says. The fact that I get to exist at the same time as her is an honor and a privilege and the fact that she would be so generous to ask us to collaborate on this song is something I will be grateful for, for life.”

Swift also reveals that “Snow On The Beach” is about “falling in love with someone at the same time as they’re falling in love with you in this sort of cataclysmic faded moment where you realize someone feels exactly the same way as you feel at the same moment.” She says the title related to it because when you feel that kind of love, it doesn’t feel real, sort of like it would be if you were to see snow falling on the beach.

Be sure to meet Taylor at midnight Friday, Oct 21.
